About

What LeadMagic actually is.

LeadMagic is a REST API for B2B contact and company data. It finds and validates work emails, looks up direct-dial mobile numbers, pulls company firmographics and technographics, and pulls contacts and job titles off B2B profile URLs. It also verifies catch-all inboxes and finds personal email addresses when a work address doesn't turn up. Under the hood it's 15+ endpoints, each billed by the credit rather than by seat.

There's no point-and-click dashboard for running one-off searches. You call the API directly, or route it through the CLI, an MCP server, or the newer AI chat interface. Someone still owns the integration, whether that's Clay, Zapier, Apollo, or a script written in an afternoon. Teams without that plumbing in place will spend their first week wiring things up, not running lookups.

What it does

  • Finds verified work emails by name and domain.
  • Looks up direct-dial mobile numbers for decision-makers.
  • Validates emails and checks catch-all domains for real inboxes.
  • Enriches companies with firmographic, technographic, and funding data.
  • Pulls contacts and job titles from B2B profile URLs.
  • Finds a personal email when a work address fails.
  • Surfaces hiring and growth signals from job-posting data.

Entry is Basic at $49/month (2,000 credits, no rollover) or $490/year, which works out to about $41/month paid annually. Most small GTM teams land on Essential at $99/month for 5,000 credits, two months of credit rollover, up to 20 seats, and the Clay/Apollo/SmartLead/Zapier integrations. Pricing is pay-per-result: credits deduct only on a successful match, and the effective per-credit cost drops from around $0.02 at Basic to under $0.01 at Ultimate ($849/month, 100,000 credits). The real lever forcing an upgrade is rollover and volume, not seats. Enterprise moves to quarterly billing starting at $2,490/quarter.

The verdict

Choose it, or skip it.

Choose it if

  • AI-native builders and agencies wiring enrichment into a Clay-style pipeline, since API, CLI, and MCP all draw from one shared credit pool.
  • Teams already using Clay, Apollo, SmartLead, or Zapier who want an enrichment layer with native integrations into those tools.
  • GTM teams that want to pay only for matches, not for every lookup attempt, thanks to pay-per-result credit pricing.
  • Agencies running volume enrichment work who need 15+ endpoints (email, mobile, personal email, company, intent) under one contract.

Skip it if

  • Non-technical buyers who want a point-and-click dashboard rather than working through an API, CLI, or MCP server.
  • Teams that want one platform for enrichment plus outbound sending and sequencing, not a data layer they wire into other tools.
  • Anyone needing a hard monthly minimum guarantee instead of variable, match-dependent credit spend.

FAQ

Asked in real client work.

How does LeadMagic charge for lookups?

It runs on a pay-per-result credit model: credits are only deducted when a lookup returns a valid, successful match, not on every attempt. Per-credit cost ranges from roughly $0.02 down to under $0.01 depending on plan tier, and all 15+ endpoints (email, mobile, personal email, company, intent) draw from one shared credit pool.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New accounts get 100 free credits to test the API, CLI, MCP server, or chat interface before committing to a paid plan. Because pricing is pay-per-result, those trial credits are only spent on lookups that return a valid match, so you can test real endpoint coverage without paying for failed attempts before choosing a plan tier.

Do unused credits roll over?

On the entry-level Basic plan, no: unused monthly credits expire at the end of the billing cycle. Essential and every tier above it (Growth, Professional, Ultimate) roll over unused credits for up to two months, which matters if usage is lumpy month to month rather than steady.

Do I need to know how to code to use LeadMagic?

Not strictly, since it connects to no-code tools like Zapier and platforms like Clay, but there is no standalone point-and-click dashboard for running lookups. Most buyers access it through the REST API, a CLI/TUI, an MCP server, or another tool's integration rather than a UI built by LeadMagic itself.

What happens if I need more volume than the top plan?

Above the Ultimate plan ($849/month, 100,000 credits), LeadMagic moves to an Enterprise tier billed quarterly starting at $2,490/quarter with upfront billing, plus custom volume and price-lock terms available on request. That tier fits agencies or large teams whose lookup volume regularly exceeds 100,000 credits a month.
