About

What ScaledMail actually is.

ScaledMail sells inbox infrastructure, not a sending tool. Tell it how many mailboxes you need across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or plain SMTP, and its team registers or connects the domains, sets up the DNS records, and provisions the mailboxes. The company says it manages more than 230,000 inboxes for customers today.

The catch is visibility. Deliverability monitoring comes with the base price, but the reporting dashboard that shows opens and replies doesn't. It's a separate add-on on every plan. ScaledMail also only handles the infrastructure: once inboxes are live, campaigns still run through a separate sequencer like Smartlead or Instantly.

What it does

  • Provisions and manages inboxes on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SMTP.
  • Sets up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records so domains authenticate correctly.
  • Offers pre-warmed domains that skip the multi-week warmup period.
  • New inboxes go live in 24 to 72 hours once ordered.
  • Caps daily sends per mailbox to protect domain reputation.
  • Runs a dedicated Slack channel instead of a support ticket queue.
  • Plugs into outside sequencers like Smartlead, Instantly, or Apollo; it doesn't send campaigns itself.

What it costs

Pricing, without the fiction.

From the ScaledMail pricing page · verified July 17, 2026

Google Workspace
$3.50/mailbox
per month
  • 2-3 mailboxes per domain
  • Up to 25 emails per mailbox daily
  • Full DNS authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Managed mailbox provisioning
  • Reporting add-on: $2/mailbox/month
Microsoft Outlook
$50/domain
per month
  • 25 mailboxes per domain
  • Up to 10 emails per mailbox daily
  • Domain registration or connection
  • Dedicated Slack support channel
  • Reporting add-on: $5/domain/month
SMTP Server
$3.75/domain
per month
  • 4 mailboxes per domain
  • Up to 10 emails per mailbox daily
  • Ongoing deliverability monitoring
  • Reporting add-on: $2/mailbox/month

Entry cost is low ($3.50/mailbox/month on Google Workspace, $3.75/domain on SMTP) but the real bill scales with domain count, since each domain only carries 2-3 Google Workspace mailboxes or 4 SMTP mailboxes before another domain is needed. Outlook's $50/domain covers more mailboxes per domain (25) but at lower daily send caps. Reporting is not bundled: it's $2/mailbox (Google/SMTP) or $5/domain (Outlook) on top. The vendor's own example, 2,000 daily emails split across providers, lands around $654/month once reporting is added. No minimums or contracts are mentioned, but a real multi-client agency deployment will run well past the headline per-mailbox number once domain count and reporting are both factored in.

The verdict

Choose it, or skip it.

Choose it if

  • Agencies provisioning sending capacity across many client domains at once, since per-mailbox or per-domain pricing scales cleanly with headcount.
  • Teams that want DNS (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and domain setup handled by someone else instead of doing it in-house.
  • SMBs new to cold email who want inboxes to arrive pre-warmed instead of running a multi-week warmup cycle themselves.
  • Anyone who wants a Slack channel of deliverability specialists on call rather than a generic support ticket queue.

Skip it if

  • Teams already comfortable configuring Google Workspace/365 and DNS records themselves, who don't need a managed layer on top.
  • High-volume senders who'd rather negotiate a flat, unlimited-inbox rate than pay per mailbox or per domain as domain count climbs.
  • Anyone wanting an all-in-one sender: ScaledMail provisions inboxes, it does not include a sequencing or sending tool.
Alternatives

If not ScaledMail, then what.

  • Inframail logo
    Inframail
Unlimited plan from $129/mo flat (also $327/mo Agency Pack, $499/mo + $3,497 setup DFY tier); price increase planned Jul

Pick when volume makes flat unlimited-inbox pricing on dedicated IPs cheaper than paying per mailbox or per domain.

  • Mailforge logo
    Mailforge
    from $3/mailbox/mo (billed yearly, min 10 mailboxes) + $14/yr per domain; usage-based

Comparable managed setup model; worth a quote comparison before committing to either vendor.

  • Maildoso logo
    Maildoso
from $0.49/mailbox in bulk; typical entry ~$75/mo for 30 mailboxes ($2.50 each)

Similar per-domain SMTP and per-mailbox Google Workspace pricing; compare setup speed and support responsiveness directly.

FAQ

Asked in real client work.

How does ScaledMail's pricing actually work across providers?

It's priced per mailbox or per domain depending on provider: Google Workspace runs $3.50/mailbox/month (2-3 mailboxes per domain, up to 25 sends/day each), Microsoft Outlook is $50/domain/month (25 mailboxes per domain, up to 10 sends/day each), and SMTP is $3.75/domain/month (4 mailboxes per domain, up to 10 sends/day each). Providers can be mixed within one package.

Is reporting included in the base price?

No, reporting is a separate add-on: $2/mailbox/month for Google Workspace and SMTP, $5/domain/month for Outlook. The base price covers domain registration/connection, DNS authentication, mailbox provisioning, deliverability monitoring, and Slack support, but visibility into sending performance costs extra on top.

How fast can new inboxes actually start sending?

Setup is quoted at 24-72 hours, faster than the two-week comparison the vendor's own marketing uses for total time-to-send, not DNS configuration specifically. Inboxes arrive pre-warmed, so there's no separate multi-week warmup period to wait out before a campaign can start sending at volume.

Does ScaledMail work with the sequencer already in use?

Yes. ScaledMail only provisions and manages the inboxes and domains; sending sequences run from a separate platform. The vendor lists compatibility with Smartlead, Instantly, EmailBison, Apollo, Lemlist, PlusVibe, and similar sequencing tools, so mailboxes plug into whatever sender a team already runs.

What happens if a domain needs more sending volume than the plan sends per day?

Each plan caps daily sends per mailbox (25/day on Google Workspace, 10/day on Outlook and SMTP) as a deliberate deliverability guardrail, not a technical ceiling. Scaling past it means adding mailboxes or domains at the same per-unit price rather than raising the per-inbox send cap, which keeps reputation risk contained.
