All-in-one CRM platform for marketing, sales, service, and content operations for growing businesses.
RecommendedLast reviewed July 11, 2026
HubSpot is a CRM platform organized into separate hubs, marketing, sales, service, content, data, and revenue, all built on one shared contact record. The pitch: a lead's email opens, a rep's call notes, and a support ticket live in the same place instead of three disconnected tools. Breeze, HubSpot's AI layer, adds agents for customer questions, data research, and lead prospecting across those hubs. There's also a public API and webhooks, though most day-to-day use still runs through the UI.
The catch is the hub structure itself. Free CRM aside, HubSpot rewards teams that configure it properly. A shallow setup (one hub, default fields, no automation) gives you a fraction of what you're paying for. Somebody has to own the object model, the workflows, and the permissions. Otherwise things drift.

The free CRM is a genuine entry point, but real spend starts at Marketing Hub Professional: $800/mo billed annually or $890/mo month-to-month, plus a mandatory one-time $3,000 onboarding fee, for 3 core seats (additional seats $45/mo each). Enterprise jumps to a $3,600/mo minimum with 5 core seats and a $7,000 onboarding fee. AI features run on HubSpot Credits, $0.01 each, with an included allotment that resets monthly, a separate meter on top of the subscription. Both contact volume and seat count gate the tier, so growth in either can force an upgrade even when usage elsewhere stays flat.
Pick Close for a smaller outbound sales team that wants built-in calling and email without hub-based pricing complexity.
Pick Pipedrive for a lean sales team that wants simple pipeline management at a lower entry cost.
Pick folk for a small team that wants a flexible, low-friction CRM without HubSpot's hub structure and onboarding fees.
Pick Attio for a data-first team that wants a CRM built around flexible objects and automation rather than fixed hubs.
The CRM itself is free for up to 2 users. Paid Marketing Hub starts at Starter, $20/mo per seat regular price (promotional $7/mo seen at signup), then jumps to Professional at $800/mo billed annually or $890/mo month-to-month for 3 core seats, plus a mandatory one-time $3,000 onboarding fee. Enterprise starts at $3,600/mo minimum with a $7,000 onboarding fee.
The free tier covers 2 users, 2,000 marketing contacts, and basic email and lead tools, no credit card required. Paid tiers add automation, omni-channel campaigns, advanced reporting, more seats, and higher contact ceilings (2,000 on Professional, 10,000 on Enterprise), with each step gated by both seat count and contact volume.
Credits fuel HubSpot's Breeze AI features and cost $0.01 each on a pay-as-you-go basis, with a monthly allotment bundled into each tier (500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional, 5,000 on Enterprise) that resets monthly. Heavy AI usage can burn through the allotment and add metered spend beyond the base subscription.
No. Professional includes 3 core seats with additional seats priced at $45/mo each; Enterprise includes 5 core seats with additional seats at $75/mo each. Seat costs stack on top of the base subscription price, so a team larger than the included seats pays more than the sticker price implies.
